NICC Calmar says it will be offering a class in yard art, an artistic welding class for community members interested in learning how to weld their own outdoor art creations. Corey Buchheit, an artist/welder, will teach Yard Art on three consecutive Wednesdays, April 6-20, from 6-9 p.m.
Participants will create their own garden and yard artwork, such as turning a discarded roller chain into an ornamental chain flower. Wear old clothes, safety glasses and sturdy work gloves and learn to express your creativity while learning to weld. The welding helmet is furnished for the class.
