


The Iowa Department of Public Health is reporting that 125 people have died from the COVID-19 virus in the six counties of NE Iowa. This is 9 additional deaths since last Tuesday.
42 of those deaths have been in Clayton County, 21 in Allamakee County, and 18 in Winneshiek County. Fayette County has had 17 COVID-19 related deaths, Howard County has had 16, and Chickasaw County has had 11.
Overall, there have been 6,947 positive cases of COVID-19 in NE Iowa this year. Fayette County has had 1,366; Clayton County has had 1,355; Winneshiek County has had 1,350; Allamakee County has had 1,158; Chickasaw County has had 1,021; and Howard County has had 697.
Currently, 5,530 NE Iowa residents who had been diagnosed with having COVID-19 have recovered, while 1,292 are still in quarantine or in isolation.
