Trial set for April for woman accused of smashing five vehicles

The woman accused of hitting a Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office squad car and four other vehicles will stand trial on criminal charges in April.

Crystal LeCroy of Des Moines faces charges of First Degree Criminal Mischief, a Class C felony; two counts of Assault on a Person in Certain Occupations with Intent of Injury, Class D felonies; one count of Eluding an Officer, a Class D felony; one count of 2nd Degree Criminal Mischief, a Class D felony; four counts of Assault while Displaying a Dangerous Weapon, an aggravated misdemeanor; and two counts of Leaving the Scene of an Accident with Injury, a serious misdemeanor.

Six vehicles, including LeCroy's, were damaged in the incident Friday night, October 11th, which resulted in LeCroy being arrested and taken to the Winneshiek County Jail.

Le Croy was arraigned on charges on Monday.  A trial date of 9:00 a.m. April 7th has been set in the case.
