Decorah resident Janelle Pavlovec--accused of trespassing earlier in November when she was standing on property she owns--will get a chance to state her case before a judge in January.
Pavlovec tried to stop crews from Bruening Rock Products from quarrying on property she owns off Highway 52--even though Bruening has a contract to quarry rock there. Police were called to the quarry and warned Pavlovec to leave the property or she would be charged with criminal trespass. When she refused, she was arrested.
In Magistrate's Court in the Winneshiek County Courthouse on Monday, a "non-jury trial" was scheduled for January 25th at 2:00 p.m. at the courthouse.
