Decorah Police say they received a report of a dispute between a man and a woman around 12:30 Saturday morning. The man left the scene of the incident, driving a stolen vehicle while intoxicated.
The vehicle was located on Highway 52 by Winneshiek County Sheriff's deputies. 18-year-old Drury Hood fled at a high rate of speed, then turned around and ran into the patrol car of one of the deputies. One of the deputies suffered minor injuries.
Hood was taken out of his vehicle and placed under the arrest. After further investigation, Hood was charged with Operating While Under the Influence; Aggravated Misdemeanor Eluding an Officer; Reckless Driving and serious misdemeanor interference with official acts causing bodily injury. He was also charged with Domestic Abuse Assault and Operating a Vehicle Without Owner's Consent in connection with the events within the Decorah city limits.
Hood was booked into the Winneshiek County Jail, where he remains in custody.
