In a press release from the office of Senator Joni Ernst, she said:
"In the midst of a critical election, the American people deserve to have a say in this important decision that will impact the course of our country for years to come . . . We must wait to see what the people say this November, and then our next president will put forward a nominee."

This was from March 16, 2016, almost seven months before the 2016 election. We were assured the American people deserved a say in deciding the next Supreme Court justice. It didn't take long for Senator Ernst to change her tune and convictions and jam through a new Supreme Court justice one week before election day in 2020.
I voted for Senator Ernst in 2014 hoping she would take Iowa values to Washington. I watched as she stood idly by while the president started trade wars with China, gave record numbers of ethanol vouchers to Big Oil, and voted to repeal the Affordable Care Act and its protections for pre-existing conditions with no proposed alternative. Senator Ernst has lost her way and willfully forgotten the people and state that elected her.
Vote Theresa Greenfield for Senate on November 3 and send real, responsible Iowa values and leadership to Washington.
