Vehicle causes damage to a Decorah store

The Decorah Police Department reports no one was injured when a vehicle crashed into the U.S. Cellular store on Short Street.
Around 10:30 a.m. on October 13th, 82-year-old Sylvia Austin of Decorah was entering the parking lot off Short Street to visit U.S. Cellular. While entering the parking space, Austin's foot missed/slipped of the brake and hit the accelerator causing her vehicle to drive up over the curb and strike the window of the U.S. Cellular store. No injuries were reported but the collision caused $600 of damage to Austin's vehicle and $1,000 of damage to the store window.
