Letter to the Editor: Support our local library

"In honor of National Friends of the Library Week October 18th through the 24th, I want to express my gratitude to the staff at Decorah Public Library for all they have done to support our community in the time of Covid.

Like many others, I miss browsing the shelves.  But instead, I can browse on the library's web page, request a book and pick it up at curbside in a matter of hours.  Thanks to the staff's use of technology, several book club groups have been able to continue to gather via Zoom for discussions.  I have also been able to order multiple copy sets of large print books for a book club at a local assisted living facility.
