Vesterheim's main building has reopened to the public

Vesterheim's main building and museum store have reopened to the publi.

The museum's main building will be open to the public from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Thursday through Monday. The museum store will be open from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. daily.

To protect staff and visitors, everyone entering any Vesterheim building must wear a face covering and must maintain a minimum distance of 6 feet from people not in your household group. Vesterheim is also encouraging frequent hand washing and hand sanitation and asks that people stay home if they feel sick.

There will be a capacity limit of 48 visitors in the Main Building and 5 shoppers in the Museum Store. The restroom on the first floor of the Main Building will be open for use, but all other restrooms will be closed, including in the Museum Store.

Reservations for museum admission are not required, but groups of six or more are encouraged to call ahead at 563-382-9681 for best planning. Guided tours will not be available.
