


The number of COVID-19 cases in Winneshiek County has now surpassed 400. The county's case count increased from 393 to 403 in the past 24 hours.
Cases continue to rise across all of NE Iowa. Winneshiek County continues to have the highest total number in the 6-county region, followed by Clayton County (329), Chickasaw County (313), Fayette County (312), Allamakee County (303), and Howard County (230). This brings the total of COVID-19 cases in the six-county area of NE Iowa to 1,890--an increase of 64 cases in the past 24 hours.
Of the 1,890 COVID-19 cases in the six-county area, there have been 31 deaths--9 in Winneshiek County, 8 in Allamakee County, 8 in Howard County, 3 in Clayton County, 2 in Fayette county and 1 in Chickasaw County. Another 1,495 people have recovered from COVID-19, leaving Fayette County with 121 active cases, Winneshiek County with 91 active cases, Allamakee County with 65 active cases, Howard County with 57 active cases, Clayton County with 47 active cases and Chickasaw County with 14 active cases.
