Decorah's newest park will be highlighted this weekend

Decorah Parks and Recreation is hosting two open house events at Carlson Park as an opportunity for the public to share their input regarding the development of a master plan for this new park.
Open house events will be held Friday, October 2nd, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., and Saturday, October 3rd, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Attendees should bring their hiking shoes or off-road bike to explore the undeveloped property. Suggestions and comments will be taken onsite by park planners during the open house events or may be submitted by electronic survey which is available at
parks.decorahia.org.
Carlson Park is a 110-acre gift to the Decorah Parks System from the Rick and David Carlson Families. Public access to the park is located on Pleasant Avenue heading south towards the Fish Hatchery, and adjacent to St. Benedict Cemetery.
