Motor vehicle accident causes $5,500 in damages

On Friday, 18-year-old Joseph Snitker of Lansing rear-ended the vehicle of 20-year-old Thomas Knoke of Decorah. Knoke was stopped in traffic on Highway 9 to turn left onto Allan Drive. Snitker failed to see Knoke's stopped vehicle and collided into its rear. There were no injuries, but Snitker received a warning for Failure to Stop in a Clear and Assured Distance.

Snitker's vehicle sustained $4,000 in damages, and Knoke's vehicle sustained $1,500 in damages.
