Ashton Weis is a Decorah native and Drake University graduate who is currently living and working in Washington state.
The Des Moines Register has featured her Letter to the Editor about the events taking place in Seattle. Her letter says there's been a false picture painted of the activities at CHAD, the downtown area to which police have been banned. "This campaign of lies and untruths is aimed at spreading fear and resentment to what has been a peaceful protest," her letter says.
