Governor Reynolds creates a new economic advisory board

At Thursday's press conference, Governor Reynolds announced the establishment of a new economic recovery advisory board as a part of Iowa's COVID-19 recovery phase.

The board will aid in the state's economic comeback by analyzing and recommending recovery and growth efforts.

The board chair is CEO of Ruan Transportation Ben McLean. McLean says, "I pledge to all Iowans that the advisory board will work diligently to generate innovative strategies, policies, solutions and other ideas to grow Iowa's economy and create jobs and opportunities for Iowans."

Other board members include business leaders and professionals from across Iowa including CEO of Hy-Vee Randy Edeker, Factory Manager at John Deere Des Moines Works Rosalind Fox and Chief Executive Officer-University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics Dr. Suresh Gunasekaran.
