"No news is good news" for local COVID-19 numbers

In Winneshiek County, total positive COVID-19 cases and total recovered cases remain at 24. Active positive cases remain at zero.

County Public Health Director Krista Vanden Brink says "no news is good news" when it comes to reporting new coronavirus cases.

Even though Winneshiek County remains at zero active positive cases, the same can't be said for the other surrounding counties. Allamakee has 30 active cases; Chickasaw and Clayton have 6 active cases each; Howard has two active cases; and Fayette has one active case.

Statewide, there are 9,585 active positive cases.
