Rochester, Minnesota man arrested on multiple charges

On Tuesday at 11:40 p.m. in Calmar, a deputy witnessed 42-year-old Thomas Yennie of Rochester, Minnesota cross the centerline and almost strike another vehicle. The deputy initiated a traffic stop. Yennie made a few turns in Calmar and then headed northbound on Highway 52. Yennie continued to elude deputies on several Winneshiek County roadways.

Deputies were able to obtain license plate information and discontinued the pursuit. Several hours later, the vehicle Yennie was driving was located in the ditch on Madison Road.

On Wednesday around 5 p.m., a local citizen called about a suspicious person near Madison Road. Deputies identified the suspicious person as Thomas Yennie. Yennie was arrested and booked into the Winneshiek County Jail for felony eluding, felony third or subsequent offense of possession of controlled substance and fraudulent use of registration.
