In-person voting in the 2020 Primary Election will begin  at 7:00 a.m. Tuesday and will run until 9:00 p.m.

There will only be three polling sites this year: Voters who would normally vote in Calmar or Ossian will vote at the Calmar Lutheran Church; Voters who would normally vote in Ridgeway or Fort Atkinson will vote at the Ridgeway Community Center and ALL other voters will vote at the Winneshiek County Courthouse.

The poll workers will be using Personal Protective Equipment to address safety concerns.  The polling sites will be disinfected throughout the day by the poll workers.  For the safety of the poll workers and other voters, voters are encouraged to wear a mask and to bring their own blue or black pen to mark their ballot.  Voters are also expected to practice appropriate social distancing while in the polling site.

Early absentee voting is still available in the County Auditor's Office in the Courthouse through 4:00 p.m. Monday.

Voters who mailed ballots to the Auditor's Office that were not received by Friday, May 22nd, will need to vote in person either at the Auditor's Office or at the polling site on Election Day.

Questions about this can be directed to the Auditor's Office at (563) 382-5085 or auditor@co.winneshiek.ia.us.
