Luther College's Jim Martin-Schramm, director of the Center for Sustainable Communities, will host an online meeting Tuesday discussing the new, multi-million dollar initiative for more solar panels.
The online meeting will take place from noon to 1:00 pm. To register for the meeting, go to energydistrict.org/events/breakfast/.
The solar array will put Luther College one step closer to their goal of going carbon neutral and reducing greenhouse gas emissions 70% by 2030. "We are very excited about this new solar array as it is projected to produce about 10% of Luther's annual electricity consumption," says Martin-Schramm. "It will help the college reduce campus operating costs while also reducing Luther's carbon footprint."
