Wellington Place to use Chamber Dollars to give its employees bonuses

The Board of Directors of Wellington Place Assisted Living has voted unanimously to give every staff member an additional $2/hour in the form of Decorah Area Chamber of Commerce Dollars.

Wellington Place Administrator Scott Marnin says the move will pump around $30,000 into small businesses in Winneshiek County.  All hours worked between March 27th through May 9th will result in Chamber Dollars payments each week to the staff.  Marnin calls the program "a win-win effort to show appreciation to these front-line workers and to the area businesses that will benefit from this Chamber program."

Earlier, the Decorah Area Chamber of Commerce announced that it would expand its Chamber Dollars program to all businesses within Winneshiek County, even those which are not Chamber members.  More information about the Chamber Dollars program is available by calling (563) 382-3990.
