St. Benedict School student finishes 10th place in the state at the State MathCounts finals

Essa--one of two middle school students from St. Benedict School who qualified for the State Mathcounts, along with Mason Myers--finished 10th at the competition.  There were around 120 students chosen to participate at the State Math Counts competition in the Des Moines area.

The MathCounts program is a nationwide program aimed at instilling a love of math among middle school students, building problem solving skills and positive attitudes about math.
