Winneshiek Medical Center receives a four-star rating for overall hospital quality

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services has released its latest ratings for overall hospital quality—and Winneshiek Medical Center has received a four-star rating.  The national average is achieving three of the five stars.

The star rating provides patients with information about multiple dimensions of quality in a single score. Star ratings are assigned based on a hospital's composite score of 51 quality metrics, including safety of care, readmission, patient experience, effectiveness of care, timeliness of care, and efficient use of medical imaging.
