Two items related to the Locust Road project win Decorah City Council approval

The Decorah City Council has approved a bid from Skyline Construction for repair work to Ridge Road--a necessary step in order to have a detour for this year's Locust Road project.

Skyline's bid came in at $605,274--significantly lower than the estimated price of $653,972.20.

City council members on Monday night also approved a $15,000 expense for detour signs in Winneshiek County that will be used to divert traffic--especially heavy trucks--away from having to use the Ridge Road detour.
