Sheriff's Office responds to a two-vehicle accident

A Ridgeway man has been ticketed following a Friday afternoon two-vehicle accident on Highway 9.

The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office says 59-year-old Daniel Hauber tried to pass a car driven by 37-year-old Dustin Pomeroy of McGregor, but Hauber's truck started to stall.  He saw another vehicle approaching in the opposite lane, so he tried to merge back into the original lane, but he hit the side of Pomeroy's car instead.

No injuries were reported.  Hauber was ticketed for failure to maintain control.
