Decorah Community Food Pantry is increasing its hours

The Decorah Community Food Pantry will be open two additional hours on Thursdays beginning in March.  The Food Pantry's board approved the schedule expansion at its recent annual meeting.  Every Thursday the Pantry will remain open from 12:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m., then reopen at 4:00 p.m. and stay open until 7:30 p.m.

Food Pantry Board President Jud Barclay announced that the Pantry had 5,385 client visits during 2019, with 15,366 household members served.  "A tremendous amount of food is needed to feed that many people and we're so grateful for the churches, retail stores, businesses, foundations, and individuals who support us as we serve those with food insecurity," he said.

2020 Food Pantry officers will be Jud Barclay, President; Georgie Klevar, Vice- President; and Deb Larson and Bob Hibbing, Co-treasurers. Carol Hemesath and Mariett Rawson will serve as Volunteer Co-Directors.
