Monday night was a busy time for Decorah Police, as they were called to two separate traffic accidents.

Just before 7:00 p.m., police were called to College Drive, where an SUV driven by 33-year-old Randall Freilinger of Ridgeway struck the rear of a car driven by 18-year-old Samuel Koeller of McGregor as Koeller was stopped, waiting to turn onto Pool Street.

The road was snow-paced and slick at the time, so no tickets were issued.  The accident did $3,000 in damages.

The shortly after 11:00 p.m., 17-year-old Dakota Swatek of Ridgeway lost control of his car and struck a parked vehicle on Claiborne Drive.  Swatek was ticketed for Striking an Unattended Vehicle.  The accident did "severe damage" to both vehicles.
