


Decorah Police officers responded to a 2-vehicle accident at 7:00 a.m. Monday.
81-year-old David Svenson of Decorah reports his view was obstructed when he tried to go around snow moving equipment on Mechanic Street. Meanwhile, 72-year-old Craig Kitchen of Decorah was traveling east on Water Street and states he believed he had a green light. When he proceeded through the intersection of Water Street and Mechanic Street, he was struck by Svenson.
Both vehicles sustained functional damage with a combined total of $4,000. No injuries were reported.
