Winneshiek County Democratic Party releases local Caucus results

The Winneshiek County Democratic Party has released a complete copy of local Iowa Caucus results.  While the Iowa Democratic Party has released 70 percent of all results statewide as of Wednesday morning, the local Democrats have made their final results available to local news media.

The results show a total of 1,874 registered Democrats attending the 11 local caucuses.

Of that total, 457 supported former South Bend, Indiana mayor Pete Buttigieg--24 percent.  Bernie Sanders, Amy Klobuchar and Elizabeth Warren were closely bunched at around 100 fewer supporters than Buttigieg.  Sanders had 368 people caucusing for him (20 percent); Klobuchar had 357 (19 percent); and Warren had 346 (18 percent).

California businessman Andrew Yang finished 5th in Winneshiek County with 168 supporters (9 percent), while former Vice President Joe Biden was 6th with 157 supporters (8 percent).  Tom Steyer had 12 supporters, Tulsi Gabbard had 3, Michael Bennett had 1 and 5 people were uncommitted.  No supporters caucused in Winneshiek County for Michael Bloomberg, John Delaney or Deval Patrick.
