Montgomery Street. College Drive. Water Street. There are certain streets in Decorah that many of us drive on on a regular basis.
But there are also streets in Decorah you might not have heard of, which is why we're starting a series of stories about Decorah's "hidden" streets. They're not actually hidden, of course--anyone can drive on them. But they're out of the way and many people might not know about them.
Take, for instance, Sidney Drive, a street on the west side of Decorah which is tucked behind some houses which front on College Drive. "Sidney Drive" doesn't seem much like a "drive," it's more like an alley. But it's a designated street in the city's street map.
You get to Sidney Drive off High Street--turn left before you reach College Drive. Halfway through, the street surface changes to gravel, going up a hill.
This is Sidney Drive--one of Decorah's "Hidden Streets."

The only access to Sidney Drive is off High Street
