The annual Winneshiek County Jail Inspection done by the Iowa State Jail Inspector has concluded that the Winneshiek County Jail is a clean, well-managed and well-maintained facility.
No areas were in need of improvement or change. The inspector was told about the jail upgrade project, and the inspector agreed this project is vitally important in ensuring the jail continues to stay up-to-date and operates at its full potential.
Winneshiek County Sheriff Dan Marx said, "I commend my jail staff for their continued commitment to the safety and security of the inmates, staff and citizens of Winneshiek County. They are always vigilant and attentive to our inmates' needs. The Sheriff's Office is committed to providing the highest level of service and will continue to strive for excellence in everything we do."
