Two people have filed papers to run as candidates in Decorah's Second Ward special election

Decorah City Council Member Emily Neal and Decorah resident Daniel Kirkeby have filed for candidacy in the Second Ward special election to be held on September 24th.

The deadline for filing for candidacy in the September special election is 5:00 p.m. Friday, August 30th. To be listed on the ballot in the special election, Second Ward candidates must gather at least ten signatures from Second Ward residents. Petitions are to be submitted to the Winneshiek County Auditor's Office.
