The Fayette County Sheriff's Office has released details of a three-vehicle accident on Saturday morning in which one of the drivers was a Decorah woman. The accident occurred at the intersection of Highway 150 and 100th Street west of Maynard.
68-year-old Rose Mary Kalb pulled out in front of a vehicle driven by Logan Jensen of Ames. The two vehicles did not collide, but the near miss caused Jensen to swerve and collide with a SUV operated by Rebecca Voigt of Decorah. Voigt's vehicle had $6,000 in damages, but she was not injured.
Kalb was ticketed for Failure to Yield.
