"I am all for safety for young ones walking to school, don't get me wrong. However, bump-outs concern me because you will have children standing out closer to moving traffic rather than back on a curb. I think bump-outs put kids in harm's way. Great to bring attention to the crosswalk with some more bold markings but keep the kids back on the curb."
