Dragonfly Books is announcing that the "Evening in Conversation with Chris and Emily Norton" on Monday, July 1st, at Carrie Lee Elementary Auditorium will now be a free event.
The Nortons will be returning to Decorah to talk about their upcoming book, "The Seven Longest Yards." Chris inspired and motivated people with his walk across the Luther College graduation stage in 2015 after suffering a spinal cord injury as a freshman football player which left him with only a three percent chance of standing again. His previous book co-authored with his father, "The Power of Faith When Tragedy Strikes," discussed his recovery.
"The Seven Longest Yards" continues Chris and Emily's story as they have used their faith in God to battle his ongoing physical challenges and her struggles with depression and anxiety. They have adopted five girls and welcomed 17 foster children into their home and hearts.
This moderated conversation, hosted by Dragonfly Books, will be held at 7:00 p.m. July 1st. Seating is limited so to guarantee admission, free tickets are available in-store at Dragonfly Books or by phone at 563-382-4275. Books will be for sale at the event; a limited number of books signed by Chris and Emily may be reserved in advance for $29 by phone, in-store, or at
