A Decorah resident's battle with lung cancer has been profiled by an ad placed by AstraZeneca in the New York Times.
56-year-old Eric Peterson-Brant was diagnosed with lung cancer after he became short of breath following a mountain bike trail ride. When doctors diagnosed him as having cancer, he received AstraZeneca's IMFINZI as an intravenous infusion every two weeks. When Petersen-Brant had his final infusion of IMFINZI recently, doctors discovered that his tumor had shrunk significantly. "The tumor continued to shrink, and the lymph nodes no longer showed any involvement--it was amazing," he says.
Petersen-Brant is hopeful that his next scan will show no evidence of disease. In the meantime, his lung capacity has returned to normal.
