Decorah eaglet dies one day after hatching

One day after hatching at the Decorah North eagles' nest, an eaglet has died. DN10 hatched on Monday at the Decorah's North nest.

Raptor Resource Project said in their Facebook post, "We have no idea what the cause may have been, nor do we want to speculate."

One eaglet remains at the North nest.

Raptor Resource Project announced the death of the eaglet on Tuesday and added, "While we are mourning this loss for the North family, the sadness is tempered seeing how healthy, strong, vibrant, active, and vocal DN9 is, and hope the remainder of the season is a blessed one for them raising just one eaglet."
