Car vs. deer collision causes $5,000 of damage

The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office reports 71-year-old Randolf Kamentz of Urbandale was traveling east on Highway 9 when a buck ran into the roadway. Kamentz was unable to avoid colliding with the deer. The collision resulted in $5,000 of damage to his 2017 Hyundai SUV. No injuries were reported.
