Three Winneshiek County food pantries are receiving over $8,500 in donations, thanks to a fund drive organized by Decorah Bank & Trust and the Lynch Family Foundation.
The bank has been receiving financial contributions from customers and community members, while the Foundation promised it would contribute up to $2,500 in pork products.
The fund drive brought in $3,506.12 in cash donations, which led to a $2,500 donation from Decorah Bank & Trust and $2,500 in pork from the Lynch Family Foundation.
The $8,506.12 in cash and food now will be divided among Decorah Community Food Pantry, Greater Calmar Food Pantry and the Northeast Iowa Community Action Corporation (NEICAC) Food Pantry.
A Decorah Bank & Trust spokesperson said, "We are overwhelmed by the generosity of many people who helped stock Winneshiek County food pantries for the upcoming holidays."
