Winneshiek Medical Center is getting a little bit of good financial news.
After reporting a net loss of $2,747,954 for the 2017-2018 fiscal year and a net loss in July, hospital officials were able to disclose some good news for August financial figures. The medical center reported a net gain of $225,001 in August.
The improvement was helped greatly by a 14% increase in patient net revenues in August compared to July. That helped produce an operating gain of $172,126 before non-operating revenues of $52,875 were added.
However, after two months of the hospital's fiscal year, it still has an operating loss of $238,964 and a net loss of $132,713.
