A new skilled rehabilitation addition to Wellington Place Nursing & Rehabilitation in Freeport is now officially open--the first phase of a potential $4 million facilities project.
The addition has 17 large private suites for skilled rehabilitation clients. It is the first such facility in the area. The large suites have access to a state-of-the-art therapy center that will help people get stronger faster, so they can get back home quicker. The 17-room wing also includes a private dining area, spacious community living area, wi-fi access and access to outdoor patios.
Said Wellington Place CEO Scott Marnin, "This modern high-tech rehab addition will provide the community and surrounding area with short-term rehab-to-home options without being integrated with long-term care residents."
300 to 400 people attended a grand opening and ribbon cutting for the addition.
