


A Decorah woman, 34-year-old Naomi Bjerke, has been arrested by Winona County Sheriff's deputies after they seized a large quantity of marijuana during a traffic stop in Minnesota early Saturday morning.
According to the Winona County Sheriff's Department report, Bjerke was stopped on Winona County 17 around 1:00 Saturday morning after deputies noticed her car swerving on the highway. When deputies searched her car, they allegedly found a bag containing 112 grams of marijuana and 18 grams of mushrooms, then found a 224-gram brick of marijuana. Police say in all a total of 1916.5 grams of marijuana and 18 grams of mushrooms were seized by deputies.
Bjerke has been charged with fourth-degree felony sale of phencyclidine and fifth-degree felony sale of marijuana. Bjerke was taken to the Winona County Jail and is being held on a $20,000 bond. She will be in court in Winona on Monday, May 14th.
