The Decorah Police Department reports their Special Traffic Enforcement Program over the St. Patrick's Day holiday had the following results:

- 1 citation for driving without a license
- 2 speeding citations
- 1 non-injury motor vehicle accident investigation
- 4 motorist assists
- 13 equipment violation warnings
- 10 speed warnings
- 1 Narcotics Violation arrest
- 14 other warnings for traffic offenses

Decorah's pre-wave seat belt usage was recorded as 90 percent compliance. Decorah's post-wave seat belt usage was recorded at 94 percent compliance.
