The North Winneshiek School Board has approved a 2018-2019 school district budget.
Next year's levy rate for North Winneshiek is $9.76 per $1,000 of assessed valuation, which is a decrease of $0.57 from this year's levy. The reason for the levy rate drop is due to higher than expected district property valuations and a reduction in the at-risk program revenue. The total levy will generate $1,523,287 in property taxes for the school district.
The district's valuation increased from $153,864,149 to $156,038,409 which reflects a two percent increase in the overall property value in the district from last year.
