Iowa DOT opens bids on two bridge projects in Winneshiek County

Bids have been opened on projects to replace two bridges in Winneshiek County.

Brennan Construction of Lansing is the apparent low bidder on a project to replace Bridge #162 on 107th Avenue near Maple Valley Road in Bloomfield Township.  Brennan's bid of $354,136.50 was the lowest of three bids received on Tuesday.

Croell, Inc. of New Hampton is the apparent low bidder on a project to replace Bridge #87 on County Highway A-46 west of Ridgeway.  The bridge replacement project is part of a larger project involving Highway A-46 in Howard County.  Croell's apparent low bid of $3,867,081.31 is for the overall project--Winneshiek county officials will have to wait for a breakout of the cost of the bridge project.
