Decorah School District warns local businesses: This is not our fundraiser

Decorah Community School District officials are alerting the public that the school district IS NOT supporting, endorsing, affiliating with an organization called "GroupRaise."

An e-mail message has been sent to some Decorah businesses using the Decorah Community School District name in a solicitation to the businesses to spend money to help promote "Decorah PTA events."  Decorah does NOT have a PTA--it has a PTO.

The Decorah Police Department has been contacted and also will be alerting local businesses through the police department's Facebook page.

decorahnews.com has contacted GroupRaise to ask for a response--but has not received one yet.
