


The Decorah Police Department reports two vehicles were damaged in a motor vehicle accident last Thursday night.
The report says a tractor trailer driven by 49-year-old Robert Schmitt of Dickeyville, Wisconsin was stopped in the roadway on US Highway 52 South behind a vehicle turning onto Valley View Drive. 19-year-old Lee Kipp of Fort Atkinson struck the back of Schmitt's trailer causing an estimated $1,000 in damages to the trailer and an estimated $5,000 to Lee's 2010 Ford F150.
No injuries were reported. Lee was cited for Failure to Maintain Control - Failure to Reduce Speed.
