On Monday night the Decorah Community School Board acted on several mostly routine agenda items. They included:
• Approval of the annual audit by Hacker Nelson, that showed no particular issues or concerns.
• Approval of two bus purchases from Hoglund Bus Company of Marshalltown, for $89,899 each. The other bidding company failed to submit a bid with qualified specifications. However, the awarded bid was deemed very competitive.
• Approval of Kerndt Brothers as another local "depository bank." The action came about because of a "very good" CD opportunity currently available via Kerndt Brothers.
