The top 10 local news stories of 2017: #10 and #9

There sure seemed to be a lot of news in Decorah during 2017!  So let's begin our annual look at the year past in Decorah:

#10: Am I blue?  The Luther College football field was after college officials completed a project to install artificial turf at Carlson Stadium.  The blue artificial turf received national publicity. (http://www.decorahnews.com/archived-stories/2017/08/17186.html)

#9: Fairfield Inn opened its doors in Decorah, adding 84 rooms to the capacity of Decorah's hospitality industry.  The business celebrated with a ribbon cutting, then later in the year held an open house.  (http://www.decorahnews.com/archived-stories/2017/08/17372.html)
