Five Decorah area families had a brighter Christmas, thanks to doctors and staff at Winneshiek Medical Center. The "Giving Wreath" program was coordinated through Northeast Iowa Community Action.
The Giving Wreath offers multiple options to choose from: a doll for a young girl, a skateboard for a teenage boy, a monster truck for a little boy. Each person can pick a gift, or multiple gifts, they are excited about.
WMC Radiology staff coordinated the effort, which included distributing tags, collecting gifts and delivering them to the Northeast Iowa Community Action Corporation offices. "Our staff continue to be very generous year after year," said WMC Director of Radiology Sarah Urmanski. "The Giving Wreath is a heartwarming project."
