The North Winn School Board has accepted the resignation of school business official Wendy Twait, who is taking a job with the Howard-Winneshiek School District.
However, the school board on Monday evening also approved an agreement with Howard Winneshiek for a shared Human Resources Manager--Wendy Twait. Wendy will be at North Winneshiek 1 day per week and at Howard-Winneshiek 4 days per week. Both districts will access the state's operational sharing incentives--which will provide an additional $34,000 in state funding for each school district.
Also Monday evening, the North Winn school board approved a contract with Postville to share the School Business Official position. Melissa Fettkether currently is Postville's full-time SBO. She will work for North Winn a few hours/week to cover the duties of the board secretary and accounts payable/receivable. The SBO is a required position for each school district and does not qualify for the state sharing incentives.
