


Twelve students from Decorah High School participated in the Northeast Iowa Bandmasters Association (NEIBA) High School Honor Band in Oelwein. These musicians include: Jordyn Hussain on Flute 1, Sarah Mumford on Flute 1, Sarah Pedlar on Flute 2, Abigail Toussaint on Oboe 1, Cassidy Carolan on Clarinet 1, Isabel de la Cruz Hexom on Clarinet 2, Mya Herrmann on Clarinet 1, Danielle Lundtvedt on Clarinet 1, Landon Miller on Trumpet 1, Solomon Thompson on Trombone 1, Kaya Hougen on Trombone 3, and Peter Wilson on Euphonium.
Decorah High School Band Directore Dustin Bliven remarked, "We had a lot of students selected for this year's NEIBA Honor Band, and over half of them sat first chair after they completed their chair placement audition. This is an extremely hard working and talented group of students who did an outstanding job at this honor band."
